For almost half a century, Permalite has manufactured a wide variety of quality vellums and imaging medias for the architectural and engineering markets. For close to five decades, we produce and distribute our well-recognized brand into the reprographics industry servicing a broad base of domestic and international converters, dealers and blue printers. In 2000, we aggressively shifted our product development, manufacturing and sales efforts to servicing the high value and high growth graphic media markets in both large and narrow format applications. Also in 2000, Permalite adopted a new long-term strategy, in which we removed the “Permalite” brand name from the market and ceased from doing business with all direct end users. In doing so we were no longer in direct competition with many of our core customers. Today Permalite is the only major high end graphics coater in the industry that does not offer a direct brand into the market. This strategy has significantly enhanced our value with our channel partners, who are heavily invested in building their market leading brands.

Permalite operates manufacturing facilities in both North America (Los Angeles, CA) and in Asia (Tainan, Taiwan).  Our mission is to be the most innovative, highest quality and value priced option in the supply chain for our  customers. Our core competencies in product development and quality manufacturing were born out of the point of purchase (POP) and sign markets and have been further refined with our strong growth into the digital art and photographic reproduction, photography and décor markets. In 2004, we shifted our attention and resources to become the industry leader in the business of developing and manufacturing digital printing canvas and art papers. Our expertise and attention to detail in these extremely demanding markets has paid dividends for not only Permalite, but also our channel partners. We believe that our quality and consistency in this category is a major contributor to the adoption, growth and success of an ever changing digital work flow in these high end printing markets.
